Developed Science and Technology will benefit us

After reading Why Gen Y is Going to Change the Web and Programming: The New Literacy, I start knowing that how older generations things about yonger ones such as people who are around my ages. They may thought we are breaking the rules which they built up for the community. The only reason is that internet is much more developed and it maks our life rich and varied.
There is no doubt that it is a time of internet. Almost all the people using internet everyday, working, playing online games, and looking up latest news. It seems that we don't need to go outside, but only surfing on the internet and we will get whatever we want. Even though you are not in front of your laptop, you can still use your mobile phone to do the same thing. It is really fantasy! I always see some students sitting in the cafe holding mobile phones or carring a laptop with them. I'm sure this phenonmen would never happen 20 years ago. It reflects that how developed our society and country is. As a Computer Science student, I know how programming improved our life. All the software cannot be published if there is no programmer such as Microsoft applications. However, I don't agree that every one should do programming. It is kind of interest. If you asked people who have totally no interest in programming, you were wasting both of your time. In Programming: The New Literacy, I think the author try to show how important programming. However, he might be too extreme. Not all the people are williing to master a programming software. What we are trying to master is the applications designed by the programming software. If we can master those applications, we will be much powerful.
To be honest, there are some disadvantages. For example, there are always some students suring on the internet by their mobile phones in class. It may disturb their study. As a result, parents and teachers should always warn their children to use internet appropriately. As long as people can use it in right time, it will benefit our life.

Topic

It is really hard for me to choose a topic. I have not decided yet until yesterday. There are two choices. One is about my major, Computer Science. Another one is Psychology, which I am taking this semester. For me, I prefer to choose Psychology because it is a field that I have little knowledge. What I have known is from TV series that a person went to a clinical psychologist and lying on a sofa getting help from the doctor with some mental problems. However, I want to know more about Psychology such as who first set up the concept of this subject and how it developed from then on. Also, I want to know how people think about psychology. How can it help our daily life. If possible, I want to talk with a psychologist and make a consultation. Sometimes I feel very tired and I want to relax myself. I think it will be a great experience. Since there are a lot of things that I have never heard before, I want to choose psychology as my topic. I am sure I will have a lot of things to write and talk about.
